A message from the Director of Adult Education

Hello everyone, I am back at Region 9 Adult Education as the new Director.  After making a career change from my 15 years in engineering, I spent five years here at Region 9 teaching adult education classes. I grew to love teaching and working with adults, helping them attain their Hiset and continuing on with their education goals.

I hope to bring a whole new perspective to adult ed in my new role and one of my goals is to expand the programs we offer as much as possible to offer new and exciting opportunities for our community.  I will be working with local businesses and individuals to have programs that work the best for the community. Whether it’s taking a small engine repair class or becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant, I hope to offer programs that will have an impact in the lives of our students.

If you have something that you would love to see Region 9 offer, or if you would like to teach an Enrichment course, please contact me or Caroline Mitchell.  For the time being we are limited to online Enrichment classes due to COVID-19 restrictions, but our hope is to make highly desired classes available in the future.

To enroll in the programs we offer, please access the Coursestorm program located below to get things started and as always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me by phone or email.

I look forward to being your new Director!
