Scholarships can go a long way in helping students cover college costs, but being successful in the scholarship application process can take some work. In this session you'll learn to build and work your own scholarship application plan. You'll also learn about and try out different scholarship websites, learn how to best use a scholarship information tracker, and learn to avoid some of the challenges of the scholarship process. Students and parents interested in learning about the scholarship process can join Jessica Whittier, College Access Counselor with the Finance Authority of Maine for this 1-hour workshop as we talk scholarships.

It’s A SCAM!

Come join this class hosted by some of our local Oxford Federal Credit Union members! Learn about common scam methods, what you can do to spot them and how you can protect your finances from them. This presentation will include actual examples and consumer stories, and will teach you what to do if you fall for a scam. This class will be held twice this fall so if you miss out on the first in September, you can still catch the one in November!

CRMA’s are in high demand! This is highly recommended for a current PSS.

Receive standardized training for professionals working in state-certified residential care homes. State of Maine regulations, standard residential facility policies, and basic anatomy and physiology are covered. Discuss medications, safe administration procedures, practice taking vital signs, transcribing physician orders, and documenting procedures on the Medication Administration Record per Maine’s regulations governing residential facilities. In addition, students must complete a Clinical Medication Administration of three medication passes for three different residents with 100% accuracy. Full certification and medication pass awarded on successful completion of final exam with 40 hours of attendance, no exceptions. Re-certification is required every 2 years. 

Requirements Include: An intake appointment and satisfactory score on the CASAS math and reading assessments are required prior to the start of this course, as well as a post training CASAS for either reading or math as determined by administration.  Please call our office for more information.

Time: Tuesday’s 2:30 - 8:30 & Thursday’s 2pm - 4pm
